NSS training is designed to develop competitive athletes in the game of soccer starting from ages 8 and for both genders. NSS training is offered in a format that allows athletes to enter and exit the training program at any time. We call this type of training, episodic training, which targets specific immediate/short-term goals for athletes in the development/competitive phases of long-term player development. Athletes who are interested in long-term player development generally begin training with NSS at the grassroots phase.

All NSS athletes have aspirations to play soccer beyond the youth soccer programming in Canada, and NSS provides scouting opportunities for these athletes when they are ready.

Session Format as follows:

Movement: training at different speeds and forces to improve agility, balance, and coordination.

Dribbling: both feet and advanced ball manipulation.

Passing: accuracy, timing, and weight of pass.

Shooting: striking technique.

Game Application: drills and games that replicate match demands.

Progressive adaptations through training variability, emphasizing:

Speed and tempo control

Breathing, posture, stability

Balance, plyometrics, acceleration, deceleration, agility

Endurance with proper technique

Nutrition, recovery, rest

Genuine personality and love for the game
